Want to see Milan in less than 24 hours? In this short guide, we accompany you hand in hand to the places not to be missed.
The first stop is the Duomo, the city's symbol, and, by area, the third largest Catholic church in the world, after St. Peter's in the Vatican and the Cathedral of Seville. If you want to see one of the most exciting views Milan has to offer, go up on the terrace: from there it will feel as though the Madonnina is within reach.
For some shopping, we suggest the boutiques under the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and La Rinascente, the most famous department store in the city - in its panoramic restaurant on the top floor, you can enjoy excellent views of the Duomo's peaks. Behind the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, you will find the Teatro alla Scala, a place of world excellence.
In the afternoon we suggest you visit one of the many exhibitions at Palazzo Reale, right next to the Duomo. You can end your Milanese day with a walk to the Castello Sforzesco and Sempione Park, one of the city's favourite green lungs.
